Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Marshville, North Carolina to find an experienced and eager Pallet Shop Manager to join their growing team!

The Pallet Shop Manager will oversee nightly pallet production, quality assurance, and shipping operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising a team of 8–10 employees, ensuring pallets meet customer specifications, coordinating trailer loading, and completing all required documentation while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 8–10 employees during the overnight shift.

  • Ensure production goals are met by completing 15+ loads per night.

  • Pull customer orders according to specifications.

  • Inspect pallets to ensure they meet quality standards, including:

    • Built to customer specifications

    • No protruding nails

    • No broken or damaged boards

    • Correct stencil markings

  • Verify pallet counts and ensure each load is accurate before shipment.

  • Perform quality assurance using the company's computer application.

  • Confirm trailer numbers, load counts, and order information are accurate.

  • Complete all required shipping and production paperwork.

  • Assist with loading flatbed and van trailers as needed.

  • Ensure loads are evenly stacked, properly secured, and ready for transport.

  • Assist with strapping trailers when necessary.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Support continuous improvement and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience, including loading trailers.

  • Previous experience in pallet manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or distribution preferred.

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.

  • Basic computer skills, including using email, mobile devices, and quality assurance applications.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

  • Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, and work in a warehouse environment.

  • Comfortable working around forklifts, trailers, and production equipment.

Schedule: 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM

Pay rate for this position is based on experience.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
